Job summary

Business Edge Personnel Services Pte Ltd seeks a BIM/CAD Lead to manage and coordinate BIM and CAD activities for industrial utility system projects in Singapore. You will ensure accurate models, drawings, and documentation for UPW, chemical & slurry, wastewater treatment, and gas systems.

The role requires leadership across multidisciplinary teams, model reviews, standardization, and mentoring of BIM modelers and CAD designers to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related discipline.
• Proven BIM/CAD leadership experience on industrial or process-plant projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment layouts and cross-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and coordination of BIM models across multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage BIM/CAD standards, templates, workflows, and QC processes.
• Translate system designs into accurate models/drawings (piping, equipment layouts, utilities).
• Perform clash detection and model reviews to resolve design conflicts.
• Deliver drawings, schematics, BIM models, and as-built documentation per schedule.
• Mentor BIM modelers and CAD designers to ensure standards.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, contractors, and clients to meet milestones.
• Manage BIM datasets and support BIM execution plans.

Position Overview

The BIM/CAD Lead is responsible for managing and coordinating BIM and CAD activities for industrial utility system projects, ensuring accurate models, drawings, and documentation that support design, engineering, and construction. This role is applicable to Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Chemical & Slurry, Wastewater Treatment (WWT), and Gas Systems (Bulk Gas & Specialty Gas).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of BIM models across multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage BIM/CAD standards, templates, workflows, and quality control processes.
• Support engineers by translating system designs into accurate models and drawings, including piping, equipment layouts, and utility connections.
• Perform clash detection and model reviews to resolve design conflicts.
• Deliver drawings, schematics, BIM models, and as-built documentation in accordance with project schedules.
• Mentor BIM modelers and CAD designers, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to meet project milestones.
• Manage BIM datasets and support project BIM execution plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in a BIM/CAD leadership role within industrial, utility, water treatment, or process plant projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, equipment layouts, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or advanced industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of UPW, Chemical & Slurry, WWT, or Gas Systems.
• Understanding of cleanroom utilities, process piping, and industrial infrastructure.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
