Job summary

Singapore Management University is seeking a Billing & Accounts professional dedicated to processing invoices, maintaining master records, and supporting close processes. The role involves audits, process improvements, and cross-department collaboration to ensure accurate and timely billings.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy with 2+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with SAP/Oracle, strong Excel skills, and an interest in data analytics and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy with at least 2 years' relevant experience, CA qualifications preferred.
• Experience in system changes implementations and UAT.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoices and funding claims per policies; follow up on overdue debts.
• Update customer master records and ensure data integrity.
• Support month-end and year-end close with accurate billing entries and reconciliations.
• Provide support queries during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely billings and receipting.
• Handle customer inquiries and disputes related to billing.
• Analyze billing processes and work with IT to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in system implementations and upgrades with minimal operational disruption.
• Coordinate and conduct UAT for new systems or features.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
