Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a motivated customer service professional to handle international shipments for internal and external clients. You will adhere to OPS procedures, strive for accuracy, and meet KPI targets in a dynamic logistics setting.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced, professional environment with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum tertiary educational level.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Understanding of ocean documentation is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills and clear communication.
• Pro-active with strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word) and problem-solving.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers on processing international shipments following company procedures.
• Ensure correct entry and timely processing of shipments.
• Prepare and update SOPs to reflect standard operating procedures.
• Screen customer creditability before shipment.
• Ensure timely client and vendor billing within standards.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers (lines, trucking, CFS, etc.).
• Meet compliance requirements per government regulations to avoid fines.
• Ensure permits are approved prior to shipment exportation.
• Respond to emails within 24 hours and voicemails within 1 hour.
• Escalate issues to Management when needed.
• Take on additional tasks to meet department needs.
• Meet 52 hours of training per year.
