Job summary

Siemens in Singapore seeks an experienced Bid Manager to lead end-to-end bid management and proposal development for smart building solutions. You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal and Procurement to deliver high-quality, compliant proposals that win new business.

• Manage technical and commercial proposal development including solution design, pricing, costs and contractual terms.
• Drive bid governance and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse bid outcomes, capture lessons learned and improve proposal processes, tools and templates to increase win rates.

• Driving cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal and Procurement teams to deliver complete, compliant and compelling proposals.
• Managing technical and commercial proposal development: Ensure solution design, pricing, cost estimation and contractual terms align with customer expectations and business objectives.
• Driving bid governance and compliance: Ensure all proposals adhere to company policies, approval processes, contractual requirements and industry regulations.
• Championing continuous improvement: Analyse bid outcomes, capture lessons learned and enhance proposal processes, tools and templates to improve future win rates.

Your defining qualities

• Extensive bid and proposal management experience: Bring 8-12 years of experience in bid management, proposal management, tendering, sales engineering or commercial project management within the building technologies, infrastructure, engineering or construction industry.
• Strong expertise in smart building solutions: Possess a solid understanding of building automation systems, energy management, fire safety, security systems, smart buildings or integrated building technologies.
• Commercial and financial acumen: Demonstrate the ability to evaluate project risks, interpret tender requirements, develop pricing strategies and support profitable business outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills: Successfully influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality proposals.
• Strong communication and proposal writing capabilities: Translate technical concepts into compelling, customer-focused proposals and presentations.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented approach: Effectively manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining quality, compliance and responsiveness.
