Job summary

The Garcha Group in Singapore seeks a customer-focused hospitality associate to support guest experiences across its boutique hotels. You will handle check-ins/outs, assist guests with requests, and ensure service standards align with Marriott collaborations.

With 1–2 years in hospitality, you will communicate clearly in English, maintain cash handling procedures, and contribute to a positive guest journey. Flexibility for shifts and proactive collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience in the hospitality industry.
• Experience in guest services, front desk, or guest experience roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process guest check-ins and check-outs following hotel policies and rate structures.
• Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and special requests to ensure a positive stay.
• Handle luggage assistance, payments, and compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Pre-register, block reservations, take same day and future bookings, and cancel as needed.
• Perform night audits and prepare related reports.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process guest check-ins and room assignments following the hotels' rate structures, discounts and sell/upsell strategies. Accommodate special requests when possible.
• Process check-in/check-out including luggage assistance and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures.
• Answer inquiries about hotel services, in-house events, directions, attractions, etc. Assist guests with safety boxes, additional guest room keys, transportation, etc.
• Pre-register, block reservations and, as appropriate, take same day and future reservations. Cancel room reservations according to policies and procedures.
• Perform night audit during midnight shift and prepare necessary reports.
• Handle any Marriott-related enquiries.
• Ensure release of any Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations.
• On time and at work when scheduled and in proper uniform.
• Attend department meetings as scheduled.
• Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.
• Flexibility to work in other positions/departments as the need arises.
• Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.
• Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned.
• Check with manager / supervisor before leaving work area for any reason.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
• Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NITEC or equivalent qualification in any field.
• Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the hospitality industry
• Required skills: Hotel Experience (preferably in guest experience/services), Diligent, Trustworthy, Articulate with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
