WATCHA MATCHA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an entry-level, part-time barista with a passion for matcha, coffee and dessert offerings. You will support daily operations, prepare beverages, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers part-time pay SGD 13–15/hour and full-time SGD 2,500–2,700/month with a 4-day minimum schedule, plus a 6-day workweek option. Training provided to develop specialty beverage skills.

Qualifications

• Barista or café experience preferred (training provided).
• Experience with gelato, dessert, or specialty beverages is an advantage.
• Friendly, outgoing, and committed to outstanding customer service.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage.
• Applicants must have the appropriate eligibility to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve matcha-based beverages per recipes and standards.
• Prepare and serve matcha and tea drinks with consistent taste and presentation.
• Handle orders and operate the POS/cashier system.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all beverage prep areas and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs.
• Assist with promotional activities and new product launches.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and SOPs at all times.
• Support opening/closing duties and teamwork to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Part-Time Rate:$13 to $15/hour

Schedule: Minimum 4 days/week, 20 hours/week minimum, up to 35 hours/week

Full-Time Rate: $2,500 to $2,700/month

Schedule: 6 working days per week | 1 day off per week

Overall Job Objectives:

The Matcha Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality matcha beverages, coffee, gelato, and other dessert offerings while providing friendly and attentive customer service. The role supports the daily operations of a Korean-inspired matcha-tea house and dessert concept by maintaining beverage quality, presentation, cleanliness, and an enjoyable customer experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve matcha-based beverages, including hot and iced matcha drinks, according to established recipes and standards.

• Prepare and serve matcha and tea-based beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

• Prepare and serve matcha and tea drinks, including appropriate portioning and presentation.

• Recommend matcha, tea, and dessert options based on customer preferences.

• Explain menu items, ingredients, flavours, and preparation methods to customers when required.

• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, matcha preparation equipment, and other beverage equipment properly.

• Follow standard recipes and preparation procedures to maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients and products.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar, beverage preparation area, equipment, utensils, and customer-facing areas.

• Monitor stock levels of matcha, beans, milk, teas, toppings, and other operating supplies, and report replenishment needs.

• Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS/cashier system.

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service throughout the customer journey.

• Support opening and closing duties, including station setup, cleaning, equipment checks, and replenishment.

• Work closely with the service team to ensure smooth and timely order fulfilment.

• Assist with promotional activities, new product launches, tastings, and seasonal menu offerings when required.

• Follow workplace safety, food hygiene, and operational SOPs at all times.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager or Supervisor.
