Job summary

About Coffee Co. at Katong Shopping Centre is seeking a Barista / Brew Specialist for a full-time on-site role. You will brew and serve beverages, educate customers on menu items, and help maintain a clean, welcoming space for the community.

We value at least 1 year of barista experience or a willingness to learn, with SOA in Food Safety Level 1. Strong communication, friendliness, and reliability are essential as you work with the team, weekends and public holidays included.

• At least 1 year relevant barista experience / working experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Polite, friendly and approachable.

Responsibilities

• Location: Katong Shopping Centre.
• Work with teammates to enable smooth operations of the coffee spot.
• Calibrate and consistently produce high-quality coffee.
• Display knowledge in brewing espresso, milk frothing and filter pourover.
• Grind beans, brew, and prepare beverages per menu; serve customers.

Here are some details about the role:

• Location: Katong Shopping Centre
• Work with fellow teammates to enable smooth operations of specialty coffee spot
• Daily calibration and consistently produce high-quality coffee
• Display capability and knowledge in brewing espresso, milk-frothing and filter pourover coffee; deeper knowledge of bean origin and processing methods are an added advantage
• Grinding of coffee beans, brewing coffee and preparing beverages on menu and serving orders to customers
• Cashiering and simple food-heating duties applies
• Educate and highlight differences to customers, between menu items and various product types
• Taking inventory and replenishing items
• Receiving and arrangement of stock supplies
• Adhere to food safety regulations and quality controls
• Adhere to hygiene requirements, keeping work station and premises clean
• Participate in content creation for social media marketing
• Able to work on weekends and Public Holiday, with even workload distribution amongst all team member
