Job summary

ABeam Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) professional for banking-focused engagements in Singapore. The role entails leading end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring governance, timelines, and quality across complex upgrade initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree and 5+ years in PMO within banking, with strong experience in application upgrades, lifecycle governance, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a PMO role in banking.
• Proven track record in end-to-end application upgrade projects.
• Experience in managing enterprise software applications, application modernization, system implementation, or application upgrade initiatives.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end software lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Strong understanding of software application delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile practices.
• Experience managing upgrade, migration, modernization, or cloud/SaaS transformation projects within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience overseeing software vendors, development teams, system integrators, and technical delivery partners.
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions and provide governance over application quality, security, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese-speaking business stakeholders and regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of banking projects, aligned with client objectives, timelines, and governance standards.
• Serve as primary contact between consulting firm, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, scope, schedules, and resource allocation in coordination with client teams.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, and provide progress updates to internal and client management.
• Oversee solution design, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives.
• Support change management and stakeholder communication initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to client methodologies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide project team members, including consultants and client staff, to foster collaboration and productivity.
