Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an Automation Test Lead for banking, permanent role in Singapore. You will define and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy, architect scalable frameworks across web, mobile, API, and system integration, and embed automation within Agile and DevOps to enable CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of QA experience, including at least 3 years in an Automation Lead or similar role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or Karate.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Experience working with banking or financial services internet/mobile applications.
• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or Certified SDET preferred.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and security testing frameworks preferred.
• Familiarity with banking products such as cash management, payments, FX, and trade finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy aligned with project objectives, delivery timelines, and quality goals.
• Architect and develop scalable, reusable automation frameworks across web, mobile, API, and system integration layers.
• Embed automation within Agile and DevOps workflows, enabling seamless CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Establish best practices and standards for test script development, code quality, reviews, and reusability.
• Lead the design, development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of automated test suites for internet and mobile banking platforms
• Drive automation coverage across functional, regression, API, performance, and security testing.
• Integrate automation tools and frameworks into build, deployment, and release pipelines.
• Manage automation environments, test data strategies, and continuous test validation processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation engineers across onshore, offshore, internal, and external teams.
• Work closely with QA Leads, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Business Analysts to embed automation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Engage business and technology stakeholders by reporting on automation coverage, progress, effectiveness, and ROI.
