Job summary

Capella Singapore is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to assist the Chief Baker in daily bakery operations, ensuring consistent quality, supervising junior staff, and maintaining hygiene and cost controls in line with hotel policies.

You will contribute to maintaining the hotel's reputation for bakery excellence, coordinate with Banquets and Front of House, and support menu development as required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Strong baking knowledge and ability to supervise junior staff.
• Singapore food safety certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Baker in daily bakery operations and ensure quality standards.
• Supervise junior staff and maintain hygiene and cost control.
• Coordinate with Banquets and other departments to meet service needs and timing.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and manage emails and product ordering.
• Contribute to menu planning and product development when required.
