Strong troubleshooting skills and a technical background in Unix, Linux, and Windows systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in backup and storage administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup.
• Experience with Data Domain systems and backup technologies.
• Knowledge of tape backup systems and operations.
• Familiarity with cloud backup solutions (e.g., Azure).
• Experience with SAN environments and storage connectivity.
• Basic scripting/automation skills for backup operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise backup environments using Veritas NetBackup.
• Manage backup appliances, storage systems, and backup repositories.
• Configure and maintain Data Domain systems and deduplication technologies.
• Operate and support tape backup infrastructure and libraries.
• Manage cloud-based backup and recovery solutions.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents.
