Patsnap is seeking a Backend Engineer / Senior Backend Engineer to build and evolve high-performance, scalable Java-based backend services for our global platform. You will own critical components, drive architecture decisions, and work across product, frontend, and DevOps to deliver robust solutions.

You’ll design, implement, and optimize backends, lead end-to-end projects, and ensure code quality and performance in a production environment. This in-office role is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong understanding of Spring/Spring Boot frameworks, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases, and knowledge of database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects from concept to deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems in production environments.

Patsnap is looking for a Backend Engineer / Senior Backend Engineer to build and evolve the high-performance, scalable systems behind our global innovation intelligence and AI-powered products. Working primarily with Java, you’ll take ownership of critical backend services and tackle complex engineering challenges across system architecture, performance, reliability, and scale.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to own meaningful projects from design through to production, working closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and other engineering teams to turn ideas into robust, high-quality solutions. Beyond writing great code, you’ll help shape technical decisions, improve engineering standards and practices, and continuously strengthen the systems that enable Patsnap to deliver fast, reliable products to customers around the world.
