Google Singapore is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs in Java/C++/Go/Python, contributing to real-time growth campaigns and payments-related capabilities.

As a Software Engineer on the Consumer Payments Growth team in Singapore, you will participate in the design, development, and operation of distributed backend service, platform, and application capabilities that drive user engagement across Google's global consumer payments ecosystem. You will work on the engineering workstreams for global growth initiatives, from real-time decisioning pipelines and financial rewards settlement to stateful quest engines and low-latency signal aggregation and build features on Payment surfaces to enable growth constructs. You will work closely with local and global cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Manager (PM), User Experience (UX), Data Science, Risk/Security, and engineering teams across Singapore and the US) to build resilient, highly scalable production systems.
