Job summary

Akkodis Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Backend Engineer (JavaScript / Node.js) to join the Digital Payments team in Singapore, building a next-generation secure backend platform for payments.

You will design, develop, and maintain APIs, integrate with mobile SDKs, payment gateways, and cloud services, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated payments environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript backend development (Node.js).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of secure API development and authentication protocols.
• Experience working with cloud-based backend infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable software architecture.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure backend services using JavaScript (Node.js).
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices supporting mobile payment applications.
• Develop cloud-based backend solutions that integrate with mobile SDKs and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure secure integration with authentication services, payment gateways, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop management platforms and dashboards for system monitoring and administration.
• Collaborate with mobile SDK teams to deliver robust backend integrations.
• Design secure API architectures aligned with digital identity and payment security standards.
• Apply object-oriented design principles and modern backend engineering practices.
• Participate in R&D to improve scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop unit tests and support CI/CD pipelines; troubleshoot production issues.
