Job summary

Hyphen Connect Limited in Singapore is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and operate a high-performance Web3 payments platform. You will help build fault-tolerant backend services and scalable APIs that handle payments, settlement and identity flows.

You will work on distributed systems, containerised deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, writing clean, well-tested TS (or Go/Rust) code and participating in design reviews and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience building production backend systems in a modern language (TypeScript preferred; Go or Rust acceptable).
• Proficiency with TypeScript or ability to ramp quickly.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs and backend services for a Web3 payments platform.
• Implement systems for payments, settlement, routing, asset conversion, and identity/security flows across chains and providers.
• Build backend features that improve product experience, conversion, and reliability for dApps and partners.
• Participate in system design, architecture reviews, and incident response to ensure reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.
