Job summary

Klook in Singapore is seeking a student software engineering intern to participate in requirements analysis, design and hands-on development under a mentor. You will work closely with Product, QA and Operations and gain exposure to end-to-end delivery of software projects.

Applicants should be pursuing a CS degree with strong fundamentals and experience in C++, Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Objective‑C. Right to work in Singapore is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong foundation in CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OS, networks, databases.

Responsibilities

• Under mentor guidance, participate in requirements analysis and design for assigned product areas; drive solutions through implementation and post-launch support.
• Manage tasks and priorities across development lifecycle; collaborate with Product, QA, Ops and cross-functional teams; communicate progress and risks.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly; independently validate AI-generated code for correctness, security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a mentor, participate in requirements analysis and technical solution design for assigned product areas, and drive solutions through to implementation. Take ownership of module development, testing, deployment, and post-launch troubleshooting, with accountability for code quality and delivery outcomes.
• Manage project tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring smooth delivery throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Operations, and other cross-functional teams, proactively communicating progress, identifying and escalating risks, and ensuring high-quality, on‑time delivery.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly in accordance with data security requirements and engineering standards. Independently validate the correctness, security, and reliability of AI‑generated code, while continuously improving development efficiency and code quality.

Qualifications

• Current students graduating in 2027 (Bachelor's degree or above). A minimum 3‑month commitment from Dec 2026 to Feb 2027; extensions are welcome.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred. Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, and databases. Hands‑on development experience in one or more mainstream programming languages, such as C++, Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Objective‑C.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools to complete software engineering tasks, with the ability to effectively break down complex tasks and independently evaluate and validate the quality of AI‑generated code.
• Strong learning agility and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and willingness to take responsibility for deliverables.
• Klook will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require sponsorship of a visa.
