Job summary

DBS is building a hybrid cloud data platform to support large-scale analytics and AI/ML workloads. As a Cloud Engineer, you will help design and implement scalable data pipelines and manage GCP infrastructure in a production environment.

You will work with engineers and data scientists, applying IaC, containerization, and orchestration to deliver reliable cloud services. This role emphasizes collaboration, Agile practices, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) deployments and data services.
• Experience building production workloads in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform) for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
• Containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with Spark, Dataproc, BigQuery; knowledge of Parquet/Avro formats.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, distributed data collection and analysis systems in the cloud.
• Collaborate with architects to apply best practices for backend infrastructure and ML/AI workloads.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring; ensure security controls.
• Lead L2/L3 issue resolution and support production operations.
