Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking an Associate Backend Application Developer for the Data Platform within Group Technology in Singapore. You will design and build robust data pipelines, metadata-driven frameworks, and tools to empower data exploration and dashboards while working with data engineers and product owners.

You will contribute to end-to-end delivery, QA, and continuous improvement of our data-centric enterprise solutions, aligning with AI/ML use cases and enterprise-scale requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software development in Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot and cloud-native apps.
• Knowledge of API integration and microservices.
• CI/CD processes and deployment strategies.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Kafka experience is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data-centric backend solutions.
• Build robust data pipelines and services for data platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and engineers.
• Translate requirements into technical design and implementation.
• Lead end-to-end SDLC activities from planning to delivery.
• Handle production support, incidents, deployments, and maintenance.
• Improve deployment efficiency and software quality continuously.
• Perform proof-of-concepts and evaluate new technologies.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver data pipelines per needs.
• Participate in Agile SDLC planning and prioritization.
• Stay updated on trends in data tooling and architecture.
• Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery.
• Design scalable infrastructure for analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with users to ensure usable data platforms.
• Document requirements and technical specifications.
