Job summary

Combuilder Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Software cum Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines in Singapore. You will blend software engineering with data engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with architects, data engineers, and DevOps to implement robust APIs, data models, and secure data flows while ensuring high quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Software Eng/IT or related field.
• Hands-on Node.js and JavaScript experience.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge and database design.
• Experience integrating multiple systems and data sources.
• Understand JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of secure coding and software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop reusable microservices and data integration components.
• Build and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for data movement.
• Integrate apps with databases, external systems, and APIs.
• Define API specs, data models, and interface contracts.
• Implement API authentication and authorization (OAuth/JWT).
• Transform, cleanse, and validate data to ensure quality.
• Log, monitor, and troubleshoot across environments.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, developers, and DevOps.
• Ensure cybersecurity and data governance compliance.
