Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the IT PM/BE Asia team. The role focuses on business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project delivery for banking initiatives.

You will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, Scrum Masters and developers to translate business needs into actionable specs, ensuring alignment with risk and compliance considerations across the private banking landscape.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of banking experience, preferably private banking or asset management.
• Deep understanding of private banking value chain and business processes.
• Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and SDLC.
• Familiarity with SQL and software quality processes is a plus.
• Agile mindset and Scrum collaboration with IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
• Manage projects for smaller initiatives and assist change management.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, stakeholders, Scrum Master and IT leads to deliver end-to-end.

General Description

The candidate will be a member of the IT PM/BE Asia team, which manages and delivers the business project portfolio to support the Bank's growth strategy. Key features of the role and responsibilities include business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, project management for smaller initiatives and change management. The Business Analyst works closely aligned with the Product Owner / Business stakeholders / Scrum Master or IT Project Leads and Developers to deliver projects end-to-end.

Key Features of the Position

• A clear, structured communicator who can present complex topics simply to diverse audiences
• Ability to navigate unknowns, business needs into clear functional specifications for developers
• Engage and align stakeholders across management, front office, think in the lens of risk and compliance
• Ability to put across a high-level understanding of trading workflows (pre-trade, execution, post-trade) and demonstrate a curiosity in the topic

Skills Requirements of the Position

Professional

• Minimum 8 years to Maximum of 15 years of experience in banking, preferably private banking and/or asset management
• Thorough understanding of private banking value chain; key focus is on business understanding
• Good understanding of business processes, process design, and process re-engineering
• Good understanding of Business project life cycle in addition to System Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of SQL will be added advantage
• Knowledge of software quality process would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience of partnering with IT in Scrum model would be an advantage

Personal and Social

• Strong knowledge of private banking business; should be able to speak and understand technical / business language
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyse, prioritize, and resolve issues with a proficiency in taking decisions during challenging times
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to interact with C-Level Executive (if situation demands), functional leads, SMEs, Technical leads, Application Managers and Other IT teams and communicate in language that they understand
