Job summary

NEPTUNEZ SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior backend engineer to develop and maintain scalable Java applications. You will design microservices and REST APIs, and implement event-driven solutions with Kafka in an enterprise setting.

You will work with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora), PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and secure the stack using Spring Security. Collaboration with business teams is essential to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software development experience in enterprise apps.
• 0
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Strong hands-on Java/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Gradle.
• Experience building microservices and REST APIs.
• Extensive AWS cloud services experience (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora).
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Security practices: Spring Security, IAM, KMS.
• CI/CD with GitLab/Jenkins and build tools Maven/Gradle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot applications.
• Design microservices and REST APIs for enterprise apps.
• Build event-driven services using Kafka.
• Develop cloud apps with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora.
• Design databases using PostgreSQL, SQL, Hibernate/JPA.
• Implement security with Spring Security, IAM, KMS.
• Containerize apps with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Set up CI/CD with GitLab, Jenkins; manage Maven/Gradle builds.
• Write unit/integration tests with JUnit/Mockito.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver reliable software.
