Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) invites a Senior Analyst/AVP to join the Transaction Monitoring team in the Asia Pacific Division. The role focuses on reviewing alerts, investigating suspicious activity, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include conducting investigations, producing STRs, monitoring regulatory intelligence, handling law enforcement requests, delivering training, and supporting system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in transaction monitoring/ AML or financial crime compliance.
• Strong knowledge of sanctions regimes (Singapore and international).
• Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to report clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts to assess suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain supporting information and escalate cases.
• Prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in line with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory intelligence sources and disseminate to stakeholders.
• Handle requests from law enforcement authorities with proper tracking and responses.
• Perform annual STR analyses to identify trends and control weaknesses.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver training on transaction monitoring and TBML.
• Participate in transaction monitoring system implementations, upgrades, and post-implementation reviews.
• Extract, analyze, and prepare transaction monitoring metrics for management reporting.
• Conduct gap analyses against new regulations and recommend enhancements.
• Maintain and periodically review transaction monitoring policies and guidelines.
