Job summary

Empower Partners Singapore seeks an Assistant Vice President, Credit Analyst to support its corporate banking business. You will perform credit analysis, financial assessment, and prepare written credit proposals for a diverse corporate client portfolio.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk teams to assess transactions and monitor exposures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk appetite.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in corporate credit analysis or banking credit.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and corporate credit fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing large corporates across multiple industries.
• Ability to work with Relationship Managers and senior credit stakeholders.
• Understanding of lending structures, credit facilities and risk mitigants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed credit analysis on corporate borrowers across various industries.
• Analyse financial statements, cash flows, leverage, liquidity and debt-servicing capacity.
• Assess borrowers' business models, industry dynamics and key credit risks.
• Prepare and review credit applications, annual reviews and credit monitoring reports.
• Evaluate proposed lending structures, covenants, collateral and credit mitigants.
• Support Relationship Managers in evaluating new business opportunities and credit requests.
• Monitor existing portfolios and identify emerging credit concerns.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure credit assessments are consistent with the bank's internal credit policies and risk appetite.

• Experience analysing large corporates, preferably across multiple industries.
• Good understanding of lending structures, credit facilities and risk mitigants.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers and senior credit stakeholders.
