Job summary

GIC, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, seeks an Assistant Vice President in the Control Room within Legal and Compliance. You will gate-keep regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks and advise senior management on insider trading controls.

You will lead daily operations, review insider lists, monitor policies, and collaborate with Technology and Asset Departments to keep controls robust.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years’ experience in financial services, preferably in a Control Room.
• Strong understanding of information barriers and conflicts of interest.
• Ability to interact with senior front office personnel and uphold compliance positions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on information barrier policies and related rules, plus insider trading controls.
• Manage daily operations of the Control Room; review insider lists and approvals.
• Collaborate with Technology Group and vendors to ensure robust systems.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update policies accordingly.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and prepare regulator responses.
• Conduct policy reviews and present changes to Group Executive Committee.
• Deliver stakeholder training on policies and controls.
• Track compliance risk metrics and report to Group Risk Committee.
• Conduct ex-post monitoring of market abuse and enforce policy violations.
