Job summary

GIC Private Limited is seeking an Assistant Vice President in Global Investment Services to support investment operations across private markets, funds, and real estate. You will work with outsourced providers to assure IBOR reporting accuracy and drive process improvements within Investment Controllers.

You will interact with deal teams, fund administrators, and external managers, ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient administration of investment life cycles in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial controllership, investment operations, or audit of asset managers, with exposure to private market investments.
• Familiarity with private market fund structures and transaction processes.
• Hands-on experience with data and automation tools (advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL or Python) and a strong interest in applying AI to operational review; prior involvement in automation or AI-enabled process delivery is highly desirable.
• Experience working with outsourced service providers or fund administrators is highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical mindset with keen attention to detail, supported by strong problem-solving and data management skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate resources, manage timelines and deliver quality across multiple stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset – able to identify gaps in processes and implement enhancements, rather than only executing existing procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and external counterparties.
• Committed and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the deal life cycle from deal closing activities through an outsourced service provider.
• Validate management fees, carried interest, fund expenses charged by external fund managers against limited partnership agreements, side letters and fee schedules with the support of an external service provider.
• Monitor the performance of outsourced operations to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Identify and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies in collaboration with service providers.
• Coordinate periodic valuation updates delivered by fund administrators and the outsourced service provider, ensuring completeness, timeliness and accuracy and perform exception based assurance checks on deliverables.
• Foster strong working relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders, including transaction managers, deal teams, etc.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency, and support the team’s outsourcing and target operating model initiatives.
