Job summary

Singlife Group in Singapore seeks a Senior Engineer to design, develop and govern web and mobile applications. You will ensure code quality, security, and performance while aligning with platform strategy.

Responsibilities include technical design, cross-functional collaboration, testing and continuous improvement, with cloud ownership and modern tech stack exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of working experience with RestAPI services.
• Minimum 5 years of strong hands on working experience with Java frameworks such as (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Microservices).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL or relevant query language.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience with microservices framework and containers.
• Working experience with AWS Cloud.
• Full stack experience is a plus, preferably in React/React Native or Angular.
• Working experience with any test automation tools is a plus.
• Ability to pick up knowledge of the application.

• Identify and implementing Service improvements and applying software upgrades.

Purpose:

The Senior Engineer performs analysis, rectification,development and technical governance for web and mobile applications and willbe accountable for the maintenance, quality of code, and compliance tostandards within the platform. Accountabilities include but not limited to:

• Analysis, Designing, Development &implementation of
  • Microservices(Java, Spring, Hibernate)
  • Automatedunit testing of the deliverable
• In accordance with agreed digital/platform strategy,standards and governance for a business unit, project, program, platform orfeature team
• Defining technical specifications of solutionsin accordance with the agreed digital/platform strategy incorporating servicefundamentals, security, and system performance
• Driving continuous improvement through technicaland process innovation to optimize the way we deliver to our customers,promoting ways to leverage business benefit at every opportunity

Responsibilities:

Nature of Work

Problem Solving

• Accountable for solving problems and dealingwith difficulties in line with policy, process and other guidelines applyingtechnical knowledge and expertise
• Depending on the nature of the specific role,problems can range from repetitive daily issues to complex technical problemsrequiring significant expertise
• Escalate problems according to guidelines
• Provide technical solutions for deficiencies inprocess, application configuration and operational procedures

Resource Complexity

• Accountable for prioritizing own use of time todeliver the workload expected of the role while working within policy andguidelines and applying technical knowledge
• Understand and proactively involve in programsrelated to Tech Upgrade, Platform Automation and Cloud Migration program.
• Ensure that delivery is sufficiently welldesigned to mitigate the risks posed by the changes
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws andregulations relating to the above functional activities.

Experience
