Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited Singapore Branch is seeking an Engineering Manager, Heavy Maintenance Support to plan, lead, and manage engineering and maintenance services, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency and performance.

You will lead heavy maintenance with key suppliers, contribute to business planning, manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and develop an onsite team within a safety-critical aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation engineering.
• Proven leadership in planning and delivering complex engineering/operational programmes.
• Strong project management and people leadership experience.
• Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Aircraft engineering qualifications at trade or professional level.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, safety management, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of heavy maintenance engineering with key suppliers to ensure safety and productivity.
• Contribute to annual planning and engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and manage operational budgets with controlled expenditure.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance maintenance quality and cost effectiveness.
• Foster relationships with internal customers, maintenance providers, and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop onsite support team, ensuring compliance with planning and engineering standards.
• Support medium-term/heavy maintenance plans and capability through training and succession planning.
