Job summary

NTU Singapore's Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) seeks a software engineer to develop, test, and fine-tune software for self-driving vehicles and robotics. You will work with ROS/ROS2 frameworks, Autoware/Apollo, and vision systems to process LIDAR/camera data and optimize algorithms for real-world deployments.

The role involves outdoor trials, sensor fusion, benchmarking, and contributing to AV safety assessments and technical reports within the Future Mobility Solutions program.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++, Python and Linux
• Familiar with ROS/ROS2 environments
• Experience with sensor data processing (LIDAR, camera; other sensors like INS, RADAR, Ultrasonic)
• Outdoor testing and validation of self-driving algorithms

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and fine-tune software for autonomous vehicles and robotics
• Process and analyze sensor data for robotics and automation applications
• Conduct outdoor vehicle trials for testing and validation of perception, navigation algorithms
• Collaborate to improve performance of the autonomous vehicle system for real-world conditions
• Implement object recognition and tracking models (e.g., YOLO) and integrate into the software stack
