Qualifications

Degree in any engineering discipline with relevant experience in sourcing and negotiating.
Keen interest in automotive systems.
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and exercise independent judgment.
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Negotiate for a best deal in consideration of Total Cost of Ownership.
Perform supply chain cost analysis and implement cost efficient and effective purchasing strategies.
Acquire quotes to support tenders, establish contracts with key suppliers and support production activities.
Work with the materials and planning team and implement engineering changes to ensure on-time deliveries of the right parts to operations; support warranty claims and repair turn-around-time.
Work closely with Designers and Quality teams to identify new components/prototypes and develop new and existing suppliers.
Management of PR/PO as well as purchase forecast to suppliers including rescheduling to meet changes in demand.
Exercise good vendor management and monitor performance of suppliers to meet objectives in quality, flexibility, inventory control, and engage suppliers regarding quality and production complaints.
