Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore seeks an engineer to manage ATE equipment, install and upgrade OS/software, and maintain tool uptime. You will liaise with vendors and engineers, ensure cybersecurity, and resolve advanced technical issues with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electronics/CE and 1–3 years in wafer sort/cleanroom, plus knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, and programming (Python/Java/PHP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Computer Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor wafer sort and cleanroom environment.
• Experience administering ATE equipment; familiarity with Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems; programming skills (Python, PHP, Java).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade ATE equipment operating systems and application software (Windows, Linux, Unix).
• Proactively ensure tool uptime and performance to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain cybersecurity of ATE equipment (Backup/Restore/Sealing/Anti-virus/User Accounts).
• Liaise with vendors and equipment/product engineers for system upgrades or issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical support and documentation.
