Job summary

STATS CHIPPAC MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an automation-focused engineer to drive AOI, tape-and-reel and packing-operations improvements.

You will lead process-improvement projects, develop documentation, and perform root-cause analysis using standard quality tools to reduce defects and downtime. As part of an autonomous mobile robot initiative, you will collaborate with software/hardware teams to deploy and optimize robot systems, ensuring reliable communication and performance

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge in AOI, Tape and Reel or Packing operations.
Understanding of automation and control systems is preferred.
Experience in automation projects for manufacturing processes is preferred.
Project management to ensure timely delivery.
Independent self-starter to meet operation goals.
High level of commitment and passion.

Responsibilities

Line sustaining and monitor yield loss and quality-related issues; optimize recipes.
Execute process improvement projects and follow up as assigned by supervisors.
Create and review technical documentation (Process Specs, Work Instructions, ECNs, M&Ds, OCAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA).
Perform root cause analysis using 8D, DMAIC and implement corrective actions.
Engage with Quality, Equipment, Customer and Suppliers to reduce process and equipment issues.
Develop and implement Autonomous Mobile Robot system; conduct integration, testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with software and hardware teams for seamless communication and functionality.
