Job summary

INGRASYS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an Automation Engineer to maintain and optimize production machines and automation systems.

The role involves validating performance, solving hardware and software issues, and performing on-site troubleshooting with remote supplier support when needed. You will oversee installation and integration of automation solutions, support NPI activities, and ensure UPH, cycle time, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial automation.
Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Ensure production machines and automation systems are in optimal working condition to support defect-free operations.
Validate system performance, reliability and functionality.
Identify and resolve bugs or inefficiencies in hardware and software systems.
On-site troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; escalate to suppliers for remote support when needed.
Oversee installation, integration and setup of automation solutions to ensure efficient process flow and minimal downtime.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities with automation expertise for smooth ramp-up.
Ensure machines meet UPH, cycle time, and quality standards.
Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for automated equipment and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain documentation including system designs, troubleshooting guides, test plans, and SOPs.
