Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced automation engineer to maintain and troubleshoot plant automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, VSD/VFD, DCS and BMS.

You will diagnose control system issues and support system upgrades for new production machinery. Candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and have 3–4 years in industrial automation with hands-on Siemens PLC, S7/TIA Portal experience, plus Ethernet/PROFIBUS/MODBUS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Instrumentation, Computing or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and PLC-based control systems.
• Experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal is advantageous.
• Familiar with PLC, HMI, SCADA, VSD/VFD and field instrumentation.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, PROFIBUS and MODBUS.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC is an added advantage.
• SQL database knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, VSD/VFD, DCS and BMS).
• Diagnose control system issues involving programming, instrumentation, hardware and networks.
• Perform backups and version control for PLC, HMI, and controller programs.
• Support automation upgrades, equipment commissioning and new production machinery.
• Review P&IDs and control specifications.
• Troubleshoot Ethernet, PROFIBUS and MODBUS networks.
• Support system integration between PLC, SCADA, DCS, BMS and field instruments.
• Coordinate with Siemens, system integrators, vendors and contractors.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
• Maintain automation drawings, system records, SOPs and docs.
• Ensure all automation works follow safe work procedures.
• Provide standby or emergency automation support for plant operations.
