Job summary

SHIMANO (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop control systems for machinery, design electrical panels, and manage vendor relationships. You will implement PLC and HMI programs, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to value-added projects.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong Mitsubishi/Omron PLC/HMI skills and familiarity with AutoCAD/DraftSight.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics engineering.
• At least 2 years of electrical design and PLC programming experience.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming (Mitsubishi, Omron).
• AutoCAD/DraftSight for electrical panel design.
• Robot programming with Yaskawa/ABB/Fanuc/Nachi.
• LabVIEW programming and knowledge of communication protocols are advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and instrumentation control preferred.
• Experience in machine vision with robotics integration is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Asia.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design and PLC programming
• Strong in PLC and HMI Programming (Mitsubishi, Omron)
• Skill in Electrical Circuit Drawing and Electrical Panel Design with AutoCAD /Draftsight is preferred
• Robot Programming(Yaskawa, ABB, Fanuc, Nachi)
• Expertise in Labview Programming, C++, Communication Protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, RS232,CCLink, DeviceNet) will be advantages
• Preferably knowledge of Electrical Power Systems and Instrumentation Control
• Experience in Machine Vision (2D-3D-Bin Picking) with Robotics Integration will be added advantage
• To travel around Asia Regions if needed
