Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a Software Engineer (PLC Programming) in Singapore to design and implement PLC and HMI solutions for automation projects. You will follow the SDLC to deliver robust software, draft specs, and interpret client requirements to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires 2+ years in automation/semiconductor, strong PLC/HMI skills (Omron, Mitsubishi, Pro-face), and familiarity with fieldbus systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automation / semiconductor industry.
• Strong PLC & HMI programming skills (preferably Omron, Mitsubishi, Proface).
• Programming skills in Motion Control, Analog, PIDs, Process Control.
• Knowledge of high-end fieldbus communication (e.g. Modbus, EtherCAT, EIP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Follow SDLC to develop high-quality, maintainable software meeting user requirements.
• Draft functional and detailed design specifications.
• Interpret client requirements, identify design parameters, and ensure solutions delivered within budget and timeline.
• Participate in control system requirement analysis.
• Design and update electrical schematics drawings.
• Source and select electrical components, prepare and issue BOM.
• Perform PLC & HMI programming, system implementation, testing, and debugging.
• Maintain detailed documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
• Analyze existing software and propose improvements.
• Ensure timely resolution of software and electrical issues.
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support at customer sites

• Salary: $4,000 - $6,000
