Job summary

NES GLOBAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer for a 1-year contract to lead design, development and implementation of automation systems in a GMP manufacturing setting.

You will qualify automated systems, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with process engineers and IT, and drive project delivery from design through commissioning.

The role requires DeltaV Batch Automation experience and ISA-88 knowledge, with strong documentation and skills in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DeltaV Batch Automation.
• Strong knowledge of ISA-88 (S88) standards.
• Hands-on experience with Equipment Module Class and Phase Class.
• Experience with GMP manufacturing environments and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of automation systems ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Oversee qualification of automated systems per GMP standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects on time and budget, providing technical leadership.
• Diagnose and resolve issues to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
• Create and maintain automation documentation including design specs, user manuals, and protocols.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and automation upgrades to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with process engineers and IT for seamless integration with plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems, ensuring all systems meet operational requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct and oversee the qualification of automated systems, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and deliver automation projects on time and within budget. Provide technical leadership during project execution, from design through to commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining system reliability.
• Ensure all automation documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and qualification protocols, are thoroughly created, maintained, and compliant with industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization, process improvements, and automation upgrades. Support innovation in automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with process engineers, IT teams, and other departments to ensure smooth integration of automation systems with other plant systems.
