Job summary

JDA WMS is seeking an Automation Design Engineer in Singapore to design automation solutions and develop winning sales proposals. You will own the end-to-end technical process from concept through commissioning and long-term post-sale service, covering automated systems, fixtures, and hands-on system integration.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with 2–7+ years in machine design and proficiency across CAD platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CREO7, Pro-E).

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 7+ years in full machine design, preferably in automation systems, robotics solutions, fixtures, or related areas.
• Proficient across multiple CAD platforms — AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CREO7, and Pro-E.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key technical expert for designing automation solutions and developing winning sales proposals.
• Own the end-to-end technical process, from concept design through commissioning to long-term post-sales service and support.
• Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including system layouts and cost estimates.
• Design automated systems and custom mechanical fixtures or mechanisms using CAD software.
• Create and maintain all project documentation, including drawings, manuals, BOMs, and service records.
• Perform hands-on integration, including electrical wiring, control panel checks, and robot programming.
