Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a CNC Operator to run Cincom Citizen lathes (B12, L12, A20) and similar machines, following 5S, tool changes, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring quality with LEAN practices. You will collaborate with engineers and operators to meet production targets while maintaining safety and accurate documentation.

A high school diploma with CNC exposure is preferred; basic programming knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, with Cincom Citizen B12, L12, A20, or equivalents from major brands.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for specific machine models.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds for the listed machine groups.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; commitment to safety and quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Machine Efficiency: Uphold the machine efficiency of the machines under your care through proper preventive tool maintenance, effective troubleshooting listed below.
• Tool Maintenance: Monitor tool wear and perform routine maintenance on cutting tools to ensure peak performance and minimal waste.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, and programming, applying problem-solving techniques rooted in LEAN methodologies.
• Part Yield Count: This metric is a major component of your performance. Not only the output of the machine, but the parts produced must also be of good quality through proper quality control process.
