Coway Engineering & Marketing Pte Ltd is seeking an Assembly Technician to operate CNC milling machines, set up programs and produce high-precision parts in line with engineering and quality standards.
Responsibilities include in-process inspection, offset management, documentation in ERP, preventive maintenance, and mentoring junior machinists. Basic English skills and at least 2 years in CNC Milling are required; aerospace/precision manufacturing experience is preferred.
To operate, setup and maintain CNC milling machines and CNC milling programming to produce high precision parts that meet engineering and quality standards. This role is essential in supporting department to meet targets, on-time delivery and machinery quality. Candidate (Assembly Technician) will hold additional responsibilities in supporting assemblies and troubleshooting.
1. Machine Setup & Operation (CNC Milling), Assembly Operations
Setup CNC milling machine per job travelers.
Perform programming, setting of part, dry runs, load programs, and verify before production.
Operate machines safely and efficiently during production runs.
2. In-Process Inspection & Offset Management
Conduct First Piece Inspection.
Perform in-process checks using appropriate measuring tools and adjust offsets as needed.
Manage offset changes during fabrication and production.
Obtain QC approval for production project.
3. Documentation & Process Records
Record part measurements, parameters and job completion status in ERP or process sheets.
Report any deviations or non-conformance to the head of department or QC.
4. Preventive Maintenance & Safety
Conduct daily machine housekeeping and basic preventive maintenance.
Report abnormalities promptly to minimize downtime.
Comply with all safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
5. Assembly Technician Additional Responsibilities
Troubleshooting machining issue with systematic problem-solving.
Mentor junior machinists and review setup as needed.
Take ownership in upholding machining accuracy, safety, and team output.
Provide handover and coordinate part flow with department members.
Support design for fixtures when needed.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in CNC Milling machining.
Able to read, write, and communicate in basic English.
Aerospace, Oil & Gas, or Precision Manufacturing experience preferred.
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems in advantage.
Skilled in operating CNC milling independently.
Skilled in operating simple conventional milling, turning, grinding and other machines when performing troubleshooting and repairs process.
Able to interpret engineering drawing and apply GD&T.
Proficient in the use of vernier calipers, internal / external micrometers, pin / block gauges, high gauges and projector/Smart Scope.
Demonstrating willingness to learn and explore.
Basic understanding of ERP recording and traveler-based workflows.
For Senior: Developed Cad drawing and design for CNC machine use fixture.
Cam programming, strong troubleshooting mindset and mentoring capability.
