Job summary

METRO MARINE ENGINEERING & TRADING PTE. LTD. invites a drafting professional to join our team and produce shop drawings based on client data, specs and calculations. You will ensure drawings align with company standards and generate MTOs from drawing details.

You will lead piping drafting efforts, manage revision control, explain drawings to production and site teams, and support site measurement, inspections and progress reporting while studying project scope and design data.

Qualifications

• Experience producing shop drawings from client specs and calculations.
• Ability to maintain drawing revision control and numbering system.
• Strong communication with production, site teams and design specialists.

Job description

• Create shop drawings based on client giveninformation, specifications and calculations. Incorporating all the details inthe drawings
• Make the drawings in keeping with companystandards
• Provide MTO based on drawing details
• Maintain all drawing files, update drawings asneeded, and make corrections to drawings as directed by the Leads.
• Drawing tasks will include but not limited to;development and maintenance of a drawing numbering system, proper control ofrevisions received either from client, regulatory authority or internallygenerated requirement
• Lead piping team in drafting standard
• Explain drawings to production or constructionteams and provide adjustments when necessary
• Liaise with the design specialists on drawings,amendment and re-submission to clients
• Assist in conducting site measurement andinspections
• Attend site and office meetings and prepareprogress reports
• To study project and design basis such as scopeof work, overall project schedule, basic design data, client specification,client standard drawings, existing drawings, and plot plan.
