Job description

ROLE PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and vision-driven Audit Manager / Audit Partner to lead our audit practice in Singapore. The successful candidate will oversee audit engagements, ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and actively drive business development initiatives to expand the firm’s client portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Audit Engagement & Practice Management
  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of diverse audit clients across various industries, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of engagement deliverables.
  • Review audit engagement files, financial statements, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) requirements, SFRS, and auditing standards.
  • Sign off on statutory audit reports and financial statements as a Public Accountant / Practising Certificate holder.
  • Provide technical accounting advice, risk management solutions, and audit insights to resolve complex audit issues.
2. Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Lead marketing and strategic business development activities to acquire new corporate clients and generate new revenue streams for the firm.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, business forums, and client pitch presentations.
  • Nurture and retain existing client relationships, identifying opportunities for cross‑selling related corporate services.
3. Team Leadership & Operations
  • Manage, mentor, and build high-performing audit teams, fostering a collaborative and professional working environment.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, staff coaching, and technical training for audit associates and senior staff.
  • Oversee engagement budgeting, billing, fee negotiations, and resource planning to ensure profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Professional Certification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore or equivalent recognized international body).
  • ACRA License: Must hold a valid Practising Certificate issued by ACRA (Public Accountant status).
  • Experience: Minimum three years of active post‑licensing experience holding an ACRA Practising Certificate in Singapore.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Singapore's accounting/auditing regulations, SFRS, SSA, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act.
  • Competencies: Proven track record in audit engagement management, business development, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent command of English (written & spoken), strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
