Job summary

SPH Media's Lianhe Zaobao is seeking an Audience Growth and Distribution Specialist to manage our social media platforms and extend reach to English-speaking audiences.

You'll curate content, produce short-form videos with Canva/CapCut, analyze performance with Google Analytics and Sprout Social, and engage audiences to grow impressions and followers. This is a 2-year contract with renewal possibility based on performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline; at least 6 years in social media/digital marketing.
• Strong command of English; basic Chinese (written and spoken).
• Able to use analytics tools to evaluate performance and trends.
• Passionate about current affairs and social media landscape.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• 5-day work week on roster, including 1 weekend day; 1500–0000 hours.

Responsibilities

Lianhe Zaobao (LHZB) is Singapore’s leading Chinese-language news publication in Singapore. As LHZB continues to strengthen its offerings and to extend our reach to English-speaking audiences, we are looking for an Audience Growth and Distribution Specialist to help manage our social media platforms.

You should be well-versed in the latest social media trends, familiar with social media video production workflows and the multiple platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram/Threads, YouTube, X, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate and/or produce social-centric content, including social cards and short-form videos using tools such as Canva, Capcut and AI-assisted creative tools
• Apply social media best practices to optimise content performance across platforms
• Develop platform-specific templates to streamline and enhance efficiency in social content production
• Monitor and analyse social media performance data using tools such as Echobox, Sprout Social and Google Analytics, to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
• Build and foster strong relationship/engagement with social media audiences to grow reach and presence

This is a 2-year contract with a possibility of renewal based on performance and organisational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline; at least 6 years of relevant experience in social media management and/or digital marketing preferred
• Strong command in English, and basic proficiency in Chinese, both written and spoken
• Ability to use analytics and insight tools e.g. Google Analytics, CrowdTangle, to evaluate performance and track trends
• Passionate about current affairs and the social media landscape
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and also, connect with people and collaborate as a team
• 5 day work week on roster [inclusive of 1 weekend day], working hours: 1500 to 0000.
