Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description:

The incumbent plays a key leadership role in advancing the organisation's strategic priorities, partnerships and institutional development agenda through the planning, implementation and oversight of strategic, organisational and partnership-related initiatives.

Working closely with senior leaders, internal stakeholders and external partners, the incumbent drives organisational initiatives, provides strategic advice and oversees projects that strengthen organisational effectiveness, resilience, alignment and institutional impact.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Partnerships and Advocacy

• Lead strategic planning, policy development and organisational performance initiatives to support the achievement of organisational priorities.
• Drive research, environmental scanning and strategic analysis, and provide recommendations to support management decision-making and long-term planning.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives that strengthen the organisation's positioning, influence and institutional impact.

Organisational Effectiveness and Alignment

• Lead initiatives that strengthen organisational effectiveness, resilience and continuous improvement, including organisational capability-building, transformation and change efforts.
• Partner stakeholders across the organisation to drive leadership engagement, talent development, organisational alignment and enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
• Provide strategic advice and facilitate stakeholder engagement on projects with significant organisational or cross-functional impact

Corporate Governance and Organisational Coordination

• Lead governance, corporate reporting and organisation-wide coordination activities in support of organisational priorities and decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation of management papers, corporate submissions, presentations and reports for leadership discussions.
• Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders and represent the department in organisational, cluster and external engagements as required.
• Lead and manage cross-functional projects and organisational initiatives.
• Supervise, coach and develop staff to build individual and team capabilities.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Degree from a recognised university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as strategy, policy, healthcare, public sector, consulting, stakeholder engagement, organisational development, communications, or corporate planning.
• Proven track record in leading complex projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and driving organisational initiatives.
• Experience engaging senior leadership, government agencies, and external partners is an advantage.
