Job summary

Cisco Systems in ASEAN is seeking an Associate Sales Engineer to turn discovered use cases into tailored demonstrations, PoCs, and automated builds that prove the value of the design. You’ll work with senior SEs and account teams, applying AI-assisted tooling to accelerate builds and demo environments.

This role serves as an entry path to full Sales Engineering, with increasing customer-facing responsibilities and exposure to Cisco's security portfolio, including Hybrid Mesh Firewall, SASE, XDR,

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on security engineering or SE-related work.
• Comfort with scripting (Python) and APIs.
• Experience using AI-assisted design or automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate discovered use cases into working, customized demo environments and proofs of concept
• Build, configure, and script across Cisco's security portfolio — Hybrid Mesh Firewall, Secure Access & Identity, AI Security, XDR, SASE, and Hypershield
• Use AI-assisted development tools and agents to automate demo builds, environment setup, and repetitive configuration tasks
• Maintain, refresh, and troubleshoot demo/POC environments so they stay reliable and reusable across the team
• Partner closely with senior Sales Engineers to understand the "why" behind a solution design, not just the "what"
• Document builds and configurations so environments can be handed off, reused, or extended by others on the team
• Collaborate cross-functionally with TAC, customer success, and partners when a build surfaces a product gap, bug, or integration question
• Take on a growing share of customer-facing work over time as your product and solution-design depth increases
