Job summary

M&G in Singapore seeks a motivated Fund/Portfolio Reporting Analyst to support the Fund Manager and Portfolio Manager across a global real estate mandate. You will help prepare monthly and quarterly reports, manage data, and support investment transactions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of relevant experience, a degree in Real Estate or Finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Finance is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in real estate acquisitions, fund management, or portfolio reporting advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and reliably.

The Role:

Reporting to a senior member of the team, the candidate will provide overall support to the Fund Manager and Portfolio Manager in pursuit of the Fund’s objectives for a global real estate mandate (US / Europe / Asia Pacific exposure) across Direct and Indirect investments.

The key objective of this role is to value-add to the business by:

• Support portfolio reporting and data management, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date. Taking the initiative to suggest improvements to existing reporting processes
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during investment transactions and reporting cycles. Communicate effectively by tailoring information to suit different audiences and contexts
• Assist in portfolio analysis and scenario planning to evaluate investment performance across the investment mandates

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Maintain and update portfolio database and deliver monthly / quarterly reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor and provide analytical support on fund performance including hold / sell decisions
• Provide operational support in the reporting for direct and indirect real estate investments, including extracting key performance metrics from investment reports
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk indicators in line with investment strategy
• Monitor environmental metrics at the fund / asset level and report on ESG objectives

Transaction Management

• Assist in executing investment transactions post-approval, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners
• Track key investment parameters and ensure alignment with Investment Committee approvals

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate or Finance
• 1-3 years of relevant experience; prior exposure to real estate acquisitions, fund management, or portfolio reporting is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks independently and follow through reliably.
• A self-motivated team player who is organized, resourceful, and eager to learn
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels
• Curious and open-minded, with a willingness to explore new ideas and approaches
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with Excel and presentation tools is a requirement. Prior experience with excel cash flow modeling is a plus
• Professional, candid, and respectful in communication and interactions
