Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Associate Engineer in Equipment Engineering in Singapore to join the Test Process team. The role involves performing 12-hour shifts to optimize test operations, designing and operating test fixtures, and driving process improvements to reduce defects.

You will coordinate with specialists, analyze trends, and contribute to supplier quality initiatives while maintaining safety and housekeeping in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in Test engineering or wafer-fab production.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform shift duties (12-hour) to optimize and support Test Process operation.
• Develop and implement methods for test process control and improvement.
• Coordinate with Specialists to ensure SOPs are followed and objectives met.
• Design and operate test equipment and fixtures to ensure quality and minimize defects.
• Analyze reports to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality problems and drive corrective actions.
• Create process job-files for test equipment for production setup.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production area.
