About the role

We are building a Pricing function that decides price with evidence rather than intuition. Competitor-based pricing is only as good as the data underneath it. As Associate Director, Pricing Platform & Intelligence, you will own that foundation end to end: how we discover competitor products and prices, and the competitive intelligence that feeds pricing decision.

This is a leader-operator role. You will set the strategy and the standard for the platform, and you will be close enough to the detail to know that every process document, metric and number your team publishes is accurate. You will report directly to the Director of Pricing and partner closely with R&D, Strategy & Ops, Vertical Planning and Data.

What you'll do
1. Competitive‑intelligence pipeline: discovery, mapping and crawling
  • Define and own the competitor benchmarking framework with BD, Operations and Vertical Planning: which competitors we benchmark against
  • Own the end-to-end process from competitor discovery through insights across our business
  • Maintain a single, accurate, documented process (SOP and process overview) that the wider business uses as its source of truth, with clear steps, owners and SLAs.
2. Coverage, data quality and source of truth
  • Own the platform's leading KPIs for competitive intelligence. Set quarterly targets from confirmed baselines and track delivery against them.
  • Ensure numbers tie across the board: one definition, one source of truth, and a clear explanation whenever a figure moves or differs.
  • Ensure the accuracy and breadth of competitor data: the right competitors, products, markets and travel dates are covered, with quality checks that catch errors before they reach a pricing decision.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into dashboards and data marts that give decision-ready insight, not just reporting.
3. AI and automation roadmap
  • Partner with R&D to deliver automation in competitive intel and AI push
  • Write clear requirements for R&D and own the business case and adoption once tools go live.
  • Partner with Product Managers to build internal tools as products, with defined users, requirements and adoption metrics, that measurably improve team efficiency and Klook's competitive position.
4. Team leadership and operational productivity
  • Lead, coach and develop the Mapping Operations team, setting clear expectations and holding a high bar for quality.
  • Run a predictable operating rhythm: priorities, SLAs, escalation paths and coverage plans during absences.
5. Data enablement and commercial programmes
  • Enable competitor and pricing data for analysis across the team,
  • Support bulk-buy and inventory pricing programmes with the data and operational process they need.
6. Cross‑functional partnership and communication
  • Work with R&D, Product, BD, Operations, Vertical Planning, Strategy & Ops and Data to align on competitive intelligence and process changes, challenging on viability and commercial sense
  • Communicate clearly and accurately up to VP level: decision‑ready written documents with quantified impact and explicit trade‑offs, reviewed for consistency before they are shared.
What you'll bring
Must-have
  • 8+ years in pricing operations, competitive intelligence, analytics or marketplace operations, including 3+ years leading a team.
  • End-to-end ownership:a track record of owning an operational pipeline or KPI from definition to delivery, and driving work to full completion against agreed deadlines.
  • Analytical rigour:strong SQL; builds metrics that reconcile and catches inconsistencies before stakeholders do.
  • Structured problem solving:takes a principle or objective and turns it into an operating process and plan without needing step‑by‑step direction; leads with the problem, impact and the “why”.
  • Technical partnership:experience working with engineering or R&D on data pipelines, crawlers or internal tooling, including writing clear requirements.
  • Communication:crisp, accurate written work and executive‑ready narratives that quantify impact and trade‑offs.
Nice to have
  • OTA / travel‑industry experience, particularly competitor price crawling and product matching.
  • Experience applying LLMs and AI agents to automate operational work (for example product matching or web discovery).
  • Python, BigQuery and dashboarding tools (Looker / Data Studio).
  • Exposure to bulk‑buy / inventory pricing economics.
