AMBITION GROUP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer for a SQL-heavy engineering role within a leading financial institution in Singapore.

You will design and optimize complex SQL queries, build reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and work with large-scale datasets and data warehouses. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with Python/PySpark.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL / Database Development.
• Strong hands-on SQL coding skills - this is essential.
• Experience with Python / PySpark is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing.
• Experience with ETL tools, Git and CI/CD.
• Banking / Financial Services experience is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformations.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Work with large-scale datasets, data warehouses and relational databases.
• Perform data integration, validation and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot production/data issues and optimise performance.
• Work closely with technology and business teams to deliver data solutions.
