Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore seeks a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns in a 24/7 semiconductor environment. You will diagnose issues, repair tools, and coordinate with external vendors to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical engineering and at least 1 year of experience, with basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 1 year working experience at least.
• Experience in 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom environment preferred.
• Basic troubleshooting and tool maintenance knowledge expected.
• Willingness to support 24/7 rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance with quality and safety compliance.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair equipment to ensure 24/7 operations.
• Escalate problems with external vendors and coordinate with tool owners.
• Dispositions of process lots following OCAP and with engineer sponsors.
• Input SPC data for defined equipment parameters.
• Perform tasks in a safe manner and support EH&S programs.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for completing PM with quality works and safety standard at all times by following procedure. Responsible to respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair equipment and ensure continuous support by shift 24/7 operation Responsible to follow up on outstanding issue and liaise with external vendor for problem escalation with tool owners Responsible for process lot disposition follow OCAP and qualification together with engineer sponsors. Responsible to key-in SPC data for all defined equipment critical parameters Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or similar Engineering field) At least 1 year working experience Practical knowledge and understanding of 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom operation environment Basic troubleshooting and knowledge in maintaining Litho or Metro tools are preferred, such as Nikon scanners, TEL tracks, Hitachi CDSEM, KLA Archer OVL, Electrical /Optical tester, Thermawave Optiprobe, Rudolph Firefly or KLA defect scanner, Stylus Profilometer, Microscope, Sorter, EVG/SVG litho tools Basic knowledge of SPC and PM/CM are preferred, preferably from wafer fab and, with basic equipment & process knowledge and with an eye for detail. Eager for learning different tools type to maintain and troubleshoot including process recipe and lot handling Accountable and takes ownership, ability to multi-task and prioritize and with sense of urgency Must be able to support 24/7 operation by day and night on 12 hours rotating shift work. MS Office and computer skills literate.
