Job summary

encasa asia employment services llp seeks a Qualified Person (QP) to lead a civil/structural engineering team in Singapore. You will manage design, safety, and delivery, ensuring PE endorsement for projects and effective client coordination.

The role requires hands-on design capability, strong reporting, and leadership to drive quality and profitability across regional projects spanning Singapore to other Asian markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Local design experience in C&S and familiarity with Singapore Building Codes.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and PE endorsement.
• Registered PE in Singapore and willing to sign as QP.
• Strong report writing and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Qualified Person (QP) and PE endorsement for projects assigned.
• Oversee profitability and cost efficiency of your team.
• Project coordination/management; lead meetings.
• Supervise and inspect construction works.
• Guide engineers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Check critical design calculations and documents before regulatory submission.
• Hands-on design for civil, structural, geotechnical works.
• Prepare design calculation reports and drawings for authorities submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

About the Role:

Reports directly to the Managing Director. You are to serve as Qualified Person and manage a team of engineers to ensure safe structural design and excellent delivery of service to clients.

• Serve as Qualified Person (QP) and responsible for PE endorsement for projects assigned
• Responsible for the profitability and cost efficiency of your team
• Project coordination/management
• Lead projects and attend meetings
• Supervise and inspect construction works.
• Managing and supervising technical/site staff and administrative functions of the projects.
• Provide guidance and manage engineers in the team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of service.
• Check critical design calculations and specifications of the project prior to approving all C&S related documents and drawings produced in the projects prior to submission to regulatory authorities.
• Able to be hands-on to carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works
• Able to be hands-on in preparing design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions;
• Able to coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects

Knowledge & Skills:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its equivalent
• Local design experience in C&S engineering work & conversant with Singapore Building Codes and Practices
• Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tedds, StaadPro, Prota, Etab) and submission procedures to regulatory authorities
• Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports
• Registered with Singapore PE Board as Professional Engineer
• Willing to sign as signing QP
